#ToVisitinUAE - Quick Ajman Staycation

The hustle and bustle in the city of Dubai and Abu Dhabi just drains me out to be honest. The entire working week seemed never ending. So before the official start of Summer in UAE, we had an excuse to go to the beach. And this time, we went back to were we both started and met 👀

Enough on the cringe and let me introduce you Ajman!

Ajman is one of the 7 Emirates that builds United Arab Emirates. As I could say, it's not a popular place for people outside UAE compared to Dubai and Abu Dhabi but if you are a resident, you will definitely know that this place is a hidden gem.

From Abu Dhabi, travel time is approximately 2 hours depending on what time would you leave from your origin. You will be passing by Dubai and Sharjah as these 2 other Emirates are in between Abu Dhabi and Ajman. Traffic load is usually not an issue in the UAE as roads are wide however it gets congested on rush hours like any other cities i.e. travelling around Dubai around 7am or 8am or travelling from Dubai to Sharjah between 4pm to 6pm.

It feels like an endless travel as you are just going on a straight road. If you will pass by Sheikh Zayed Road, you will be charged for Salik (toll gate) for AED 16 if I'm not mistaken. Quick tip: Use Waze maps and not Google Maps.

So we stayed at Ajman Hotel (previously Kempinski Hotel Ajman) and is one of the best hotels in Ajman. It is located at the end of Ajman Corniche with a long and beautiful beach. We booked for 1 night only due to we only have short leave days and we were able to offered a promotional rate of AED 515 net per night with Breakfast for 2 persons on a Deluxe Sea View Room. As a hotelier myself and had stayed in various properties, I would always recommend booking directly to the property as it saves you all the hassle.

We used to work in this hotel and most of our old colleagues are still working there because who wouldn't when you are walking distance to the beach?!

The room that we had stayed to is so spacious. It does not have the modern look that most hotel have as the concept of this property is to maintain the Arabian interior. All of the rooms are sea facing with balconies (except for the Laguna or poolside rooms) so you will be greeted by this beauty once you enter the room or your open your eyes.

We were upgraded to the next room category and I had requested to an arrangement as this trip is a birthday celebration of my husband.

The hotel itself has several restaurants & bars that you can enjoy without even going out. There is also a bowling alley and is the only one in Ajman (as far as I know) which is just a different level. There are also several places to visit nearby which you can definitely enjoy.

I guess you will only appreciate the beauty of the place once you are really there. The United Arab Emirates is not only Dubai or Abu Dhabi. There are a lot more places to visit and discover.

To more staycations!
