Seoul, South Korea 2019 (Day 3 and Departure)

I don't want this trip to end. We wanted to stay longer so we can go around more, but time and budget does not allow us to. 

We headed out a bit late than the first 2 days because our flight is late at night and we have not itinerary on the last day. Just few sites and last minute shopping. 

For Day 3 itinerary, we headed to the busy district, at Gangnam, where Coex mall is located. As included in our pass, we will be visiting the Coex Aquarium and SMTown Coex Artium. 

Directions:

From Myeongdong station, interchange line at Sadang and go down to Samseong station. Exit numbers are indicated at the subway where you wish to head. 

From the station, we got quite confused heading to the aquarium. First thing you will see upon reaching the exit was SMTown. We continued walking around till we reached the unexpected site that my sister wanted to see - the Starfield library. 

      

  

  

 

 

When we found it accidentally, I saw sparks on my sister's face. But it was surely a beautiful place. 

We then head to the Coex Aquarium as included once again in our Discover Seoul Pass. I think it was a big savings for us considering some sites are a bit pricey. But for adults like us, the Coex Aquarium is not that enjoyable. This place is highly recommended if you are coming with kids. 

 

  

  

  

  

And finally, after having lunch in one of the restaurants at the Coex Mall, we finally headed to one of our dream places - SMTOWN Coex Artium. The artium itself is open and our pass gives us access to the SMTown Museum.  

Upon entry, we were greeted by these people/photos that we both love.

  

  

As mentioned, our Discover Seoul Pass includes entrance to the museum. And it was a paradise for both of us. If you stan SM artists, of course, this is the best place to be. 

You cannot take photos at the shop while you can only use your phone camera inside the SMTown Museum. 

Aside from the tickets, we each get our ID pass with our favorite group photo/logo and it served as our souvenir :) 

  

Upon entering, the staffs will tell you about this but we heard differently so we were able to snap some from our DSLRs.

We also tried the VR experience but unfortunately, we did not take the shots as a remembrance. 

  

    

 

  

  

The museum showcases different comeback costumes worn by the groups and the entire place was properly sectioned. 

 

 

 

  

And this wall of daesangs just gives me the sense of pride because I stan these groups a lot. 

 

When we exited the museum, we went up to the theater and we were welcomed by these huge photo frames which we almost broke because of excitement. 

  

 

And right outside the artium, the hands of our favorite people. 

   

After this stroll, we went back to our hostel and claim our bags since we had already checked out before strolling around. We were quite in a hurry as the time was so limited. 

From Myeongdong station, we went to Seoul station and took the AREX which was also included in our Discover Seoul Pass. The AREX ride in the pass is one time use so we had opted to use it on our departure day. My parents were satisfied with the train as it was so spacious, fast and clean. We were comfortably seated and well rested after the morning stroll. Here's a snap of my parents on their seats busy drying up hihihhi 😂😂
