Unveiling the Mask of Bacolod City

Adventures always come to an end. It is surely melancholic knowing that this temporary happiness will come to an end. But who says it will all end here? These memories made will forever be in our hearts and will always be treasured.
Days seems to be fast when you enjoy what you do. For our fourth but not our last day, we started our day watching the calming sea and also the sunrise. After a short walk along the shore, we started preparing for our trip to Bacolod.

At past 10 in the morning, we left the accommodating city of Sipalay and headed to the Sugar Capital of the Philippines, Bacolod City. The Esponilla family accompanied us but the original plan is to commute. Terminals can be seen around the city so you wont have a hard time finding a ride. Around 2 in the afternoon, we safely arrived at the said city with God's guidance.

We'll surely miss this kind of surroundings

Since it's peak season, we had a hard time finding a hotel or inn to rest on. But as we searched the city, we found Tamera Plaza Inn located at #79 Lacson Street, Bacolod City.

After an hour of rest, we went out to explore the city and buy some foods. It has many stores around so you don't have have to worry whenever you want to buy something. We head to SM for souvenirs since we don't have any idea on where to buy. As we walk to the city, you can pass through churches, fast food chains, and the usual mini stores outside or the tiangge. The city has different type of transportation. Its not the usual city in the Philippines that uses tricycle as their form of transportation but rather uses jeep only, or pera, as they call. The downtown is also free from traffic congestion since it is only one way (Lacson Street to Araneta Street) making you less confused on when and what type of transportation you have to ride.

The next day is also the last day of our stay. We woke up around 6AM and went down to the lobby for the free breakfast included in our stay in the inn. We hurried in preparing our things since they said the shuttle will arrive at 8 AM with a fee of PHP 150

We arrived earlier than expected at the airport so we just spent our time waiting there. If you don't have a baggage to check in, they have a system there for the self check in and for printing the boarding pass. And at 11:25, we left the City of Smiles that gave us a new memories of joyful adventure.

Thanks for the memories ♡

"One's destination is never a place. But a new way of seeing things."

As this adventure went by, I noticed how beautiful our country is, and how great God made it. Our country might have less promotion about its beautiful treasures, but if only we can open our eyes, we don't have to go to other country just to get a beautiful view because we have our own and we have to cherish it as best as we could so that we will not be the one who will appreciate it, but it will be known by many.
