Pet Cafe by Velvet Friends

It is indeed, a pretty place with pretty pets.

Pet cafes seems to be a trend in our busy city. There are many pet cafes that are arising in our city Nd Pet Cafe by Velvet friends is one of them. It is a place where you can take a rest with pets. It is cozy and comfortable place to hangout after a busy schedule.

Located in 2nd floor of Blue Bay Walk EDSA Cor Macapagal Blvd, Pasay, Metro Manila near Mall of Asia.

How to get there:

From our place, we rode a bus to MRT (You can take UV if you want to). You will ride the train from the North Avenue Station to Taft Station (if you don't have a beep card, you have to buy a card and it costs PHP 28). When you go down to the station, ride the jeeps that have a route to Mall of Asia (MOA). I suggest you to be attentive especially when you're not familiar to the place. Go down to the Blue Bay Walk. If you haven't been there, the landmark is the McDonalds', Conti's, and other restaurants, near Metrobank and infront of the double Dragon Plaza (these are the landmarks for Blue bay Walk). Walk inside the Blue Bay Walk building and find the cluster H (each building has letters in it) . Pet cafe is located at the second floor of the building and you will see the cute pets waiting for you.


Since we left past 5 PM from our house, we arrived at the blue bay walk around 6:45 PM. And since we're not familiar with the place, we had a hard time looking for it and found it around 7PM. The store opens everyday around 12:30 noon and closes at 8:30 PM every Monday to Friday, and 9:30 PM every Saturday and Sunday.

Rules inside the Dog Garden and Cat Haven

We planned to go there a long time ago and bought our tickets from MetroDeal. My cousin saw it and immediately asked me. It is 25% off so from the original price of PHP 220, we just bought it for PHP 165. The voucher is not valid on holidays and can only be used for an entry pass either cat haven or dog garden.

After getting our ids and taking some pictures, we decided to go inside the dog garden. The 7 dogs of the cafe welcomed us playfully. Different dog breeds are there (we asked for their breeds but i couldn't remember it anymore) to play with you. The bags can be placed inside the garden since they have a table inside to put your things. We sat at the floor and played with the dogs but since other guests were there, they don't usually come to us. I suggest you to be observant on what the dogs are doing. Since i am busy playing with the other dogs, i didn't notice that one of the dogs came to me (at my back rather) but not to play with me but to pee on me. The staff didn't see it either so he forgot to warn me. But it didn't pee a lot since someone already said that it's peeing on me.

Since it's a 1 hour entry pass, we had a lot of time playing with the dogs. We even got the time to watch them eating. We also asked some questions to the staffs and get to know the pets better. After enjoying our 1 hour voucher, we decided to bid our goodbyes to the pets.

I really wish to take care of pets but i dont have enough time and dont have any idea on who sells. But through this cafe, even if it's limited time only, i still enjoyed it for i had a chance to play and take care of them for awhile. The place is cozy, the staffs are accomodating, and the pets are well-trained thats why you can really enjoy it. It was a wonderful time spent with wonderful creatures.
